According to the Gun Violence Archive, there have been 441 mass shootings in the U.S. as of Aug. 27. One day before that, it was 438. On average this year, there are 13 mass shootings a week.

Texas is the state with the second highest number of mass shootings since the organization began tracking them. In the past decade, however, Texas comes in Number One.
